Conveniently located near Schenectady with easy access to the Thruway, Northway and Interstate 890, the Glen Sanders Mansion provides the perfect backdrop for both destination and local weddings. And with a 22 room inn, including 2 bridal suites, and additional hotel options nearby, you and your guests will have plenty of options for overnight accommodations.

Your dream wedding starts with an outdoor ceremony set on the banks of the picturesque Mohawk River, with up to 225 of your friends and family in attendance. Or if the weather is not to your liking, a beautiful indoor ceremony by the fireplace is also available. After your ceremony, guests will enjoy cocktail hour with only the highest quality food and service in our enclosed climate controlled patio while you are having wedding pictures taken at some of the most spectacular scenery in the Capital Region.

After your cocktail hour, you will join your guests for an exquisite reception in our lavishly adorned ballroom with both lots of natural, ambient light and custom programmable lighting, including 6 magnificently dazzling crystal chandeliers. And for those looking to add multimedia to their wedding, we provide 3 eight foot projection screens with ceiling mounted LCD projectors, cable TV, DVD player, wireless microphones, and computer hookups (WiFi included) for anything from slideshows to home movies.

Q. How many guests can fit comfortably in the ballroom?

The Riverfront Ballroom can accommodate up to 320 guests with dancing for a sit-down dinner.

Q. Where do ceremonies take place?

There a few factors which will indicate where your on-site ceremony will be held. Weather, permitting, if your guest count is or less than 165 guests, your ceremony will be held overlooking the river under our black gazebo. Our white gazebo is fully equipped with a sound system to pipe in ceremony music. If weather should be in-climate and the guest count is under 165 guests, on-site ceremonies are held in the Mansion Lobby. Beautifully transformed, couples will be married in front the front place. In order to enhance the ceremony ambiance, couples have their florist provide a white isle runner and additional décor. If your guest count should be over 165 people, on-site ceremonies are accommodated in half of the riverfront ballroom.

Q. How many guests can sit at a table? What type of chairs and linens are included?

Depending on the guest count, we will provide 60" rounds, 72" rounds, or a combination of both. 60" rounds can accommodate 8-10 guests and 72"rounds can accommodate 10-12 guests. If your guest count should exceed 220 people, we will than utilize ovals which accommodate 10-12 people. Our wedding packages include full length table cloths in white, ivory, chocolate brown, or black, pinktuck linen offered in ivory, white, black, & chocolate, damask linen offered in white or ivory and a wide selection of napkin colors. Our wedding packages include dark wood chavari chairs, all necessary glassware, china, & stainless flatware.

Q. What type of overnight accommodations are provided?

The Glen Sanders Mansion Inn has 22 sleeping rooms which include 2 bridal suites. We do not allow room blocking; rooms are available on a first come first serve basis. Our Inn includes complimentary breakfast.

Q. Where is a good place for photos?

The natural setting of Glen Sanders Mansion is breathtaking. Always well-manicured, the grounds are ideal for wedding photos. From the nostalgic gazebo to the dock overlooking the Mohawk River, Glen Sanders Mansion scenery makes for a gorgeous backdrop.

Q. Is there a venue fee associated with the Glen Sanders Mansion?

The glory of the Mansion is there are no additional venue fees associated with the facility. Frankly the only way to incur additional cost is adding enhancements; food or beverage to your package, overtime, & holding your ceremony on-site.

Q. What type of parking do you provide, if any?

Parking is self-serviced. Guests will have access to park in the main lot which has over 270 parking spots. If you would like to include valet, we can certainly recommend industry professionals.

Q. Can I customize a menu or combine packages?

Our wedding menus serve as guidelines. Our culinary team is extremely creative and versatile. We would be happy to customize a package based on your personal taste!

Q. Do your wedding packages include wedding cake?

Our wedding packages include wedding cakes made by our in house bakery, The Mansion Bakery. We have a variety of styles, flavors, & fillings to choose from. If you would like to provide a cake from an outside bakery, you certainly have the option to do so.

Q. Do you offer food tastings?

Once you book your wedding with Mazzone Hospitality, you are invited to join us at one of our Grand Tastings. We will provide two complimentary grand entrance tickets for you & your fiancé. You will be able to see, smell, and taste a selection of what we have to offer. Savor the evening with all of your senses. Ask your event planner for upcoming dates, tastings are held twice a year.

If you prefer a more intimate setting we also offer private tastings. Tastings last approximately one 1½ hours and provided at a fee of $500, allowing for up to 4 people to sample a selection of hot hors d'Oeuvres and your choice of two selected appetizers, salads, and entrees. (There are items we are not able to produce for a tasting, and other restrictions may apply, consult your event planner.)
